Cinematic storytelling for social impact, prevention and culture
We work with organisations, communities and purposeful brands to create films that matter - from prevention campaigns and educational films to documentaries, branded storytelling and narrative cinema.
Our work is rooted in authenticity, lived experience and genuine community connection. We don't parachute in. We listen, we collaborate, and we build stories from the inside out - which is why the institutions, charities and public bodies we work with keep coming back.
Because the stories that change things are the ones people truly feel.
Working across the UK, Europe, USA, Asia and Australia.
Our Work
PREVENTION
TAPPED: Illegal money lending destroys lives - but most young people don't see it coming. Tapped is a cinematic prevention film developed with young people aged 14–16 and five national partner organisations, designed to change that.
From script to screen, every creative decision was built around authenticity. The result is a film and schools toolkit now in active use across Scotland.
EDUCATION AND PATHWAYS
FILM EDUCATION DUNFERMLINE (FED): Film education shouldn't be reserved for those who can afford it. Film Education Dunfermline was built on that belief - delivering professional film academies in partnership with Fife Council for people facing real barriers to employment, including those living with disabilities.
Not a taster session. A proper, structured, cinematic education - for people who needed someone to believe in them first.
NARRATIVE CINEMA
SKINJACKER: A dark psychological horror born from the bleak isolation of rural Scotland. Skinjacker follows a group drawn into a disturbing series of events surrounding identity, obsession and a mysterious force capable of inhabiting others.
Shot on a micro-budget of just £18,000 and now streaming across more than 20 territories worldwide - including Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV and Plex - Skinjacker proves that cinematic ambition isn't defined by budget. It's defined by vision.
TESTIMONIALS
-
"Tapped is a powerful example of prevention in action — giving young people the knowledge, confidence, and voice to challenge these harms and make informed financial choices."
Fiona Richardson, Chief Officer, Trading Standards Scotland
-
“This cross-partnership project is about empowering young people with the tools and understanding to stay safe financially. By working together with partners and putting young people’s voices at the centre, Tapped highlights not only the dangers of loan sharks, but also the importance of ethical, community-based alternatives like credit unions."
Sofia Dogan, Chief Executive of Kingdom Community Bank
-
"David and Adam have managed to strike a delicate balance — offering professional expertise and structure while still allowing the young people's ideas and perspectives to shape the story."
Billy George, Visit Dunfermline

David Izatt
I'm David Izatt, a filmmaker, creative director and founder of Zoghogg Studios, based in Scotland.
My work sits at the intersection of cinematic storytelling, social impact and prevention - creating films that engage audiences emotionally while driving meaningful conversation around the issues that matter most.
I directed and produced Tapped, a prevention film commissioned by the Scottish Illegal Money Lending Unit in partnership with Fife Council, YouthLink Scotland, Kingdom Community Bank and Fife Voluntary Action - now used nationally in schools, youth groups and community settings across Scotland.
As founder of Film Education Dunfermline (FED), I have delivered film academies for Fife Council's employability teams, working directly with people facing barriers to employment including those living with disabilities.
I am also co-founder of ERA, a social impact CIC using cinematic storytelling, education and community engagement to address complex social issues affecting young people - developing prevention-focused film projects around subjects including knife crime, gambling harm, exploitation, addiction and mental health.
As a feature filmmaker, my directing credits include Skinjacker and A Christmas Carol (both distributed worldwide). I served as EPK Producer and Official Photographer on Tomorrow, a feature exec-produced by Martin Scorsese.
I believe the most powerful stories are not only visually compelling - they are emotionally truthful. Whether working with communities, organisations or brands, the goal is always the same: to create work that people genuinely feel.
